Socially sensible rehearsal at Totnes Civic Hall – June 2021

About Us

We are a small but ambitious amateur chamber orchestra, primarily based in Dartmouth. Players travel from across the South Hams and beyond. With our dynamic and talented music director, Tim Pithers, we present three or four concerts annually, including performances in the Dart Music Festival each May.

The orchestra is a registered charity (1085224), and we are keen to take our music to new venues and new audiences while supporting local charities through our music.

Dartmouth Orchestra present two popular works by Antonin Leopold Dvorak. Immerse yourself in stirring melodies, bold folk tunes, sweeping landscapes and rich harmonies: the relaxed and exuberant Symphony No. 8 in G, Op. 88 and Dvorak’s hauntingly beautiful Cello concerto in B minor, Op. 104. The cello solo is played by rising international talent Eliana Razzino Yang, who graduates this summer from the prestigious Juilliard School, New York.
